2. Read and highlight the textbook Chapter 5 "Supporting Your Speech with Evidence," pages 60-68

3. Click on this link to learn more about using visual aids in your informative speech.

4. Skim over pages 69-83 to see the endnote formats and a sample outline entitled The Bombing of Dresden, containing evidence and an introduction and conclusion.

5. Complete the Evidence Usage Exercise on page 84 in the textbook. Look at the Evidence Exercise Solution link in the Putting Theory Into Practice section below.

6. Read and highlight the Informative Speech and Speech 101 Internet Introduce a Speaker assignment sheets on pages 150, 151 and 159.

7. Take You Ought to Know by Now sample review quiz #5

Go to your group’s Informative Topic Discussion Forum and respond to the following. “Based on the information we’ve gathered in our audience analysis, what does our speech class need to learn more about? Suggest possible Informative Speech broad or narrow topic areas. Why do you think the topics you suggested would be valuable to hear?” Please post your responses as new messages.

Due Wednesday, March 10, 6:30 p.m.

1. Decide on and post your group’s Informative Speech broad group topic and narrow individual topics in your group’s Informative Topic Discussion Forum. Throughout the week you should dialogue with your fellow group members as you determine your Informative Speech topics. You may post your reactions to your fellow group member’s suggested topics in your group’s Informative Topic forum or plan a meeting time and use your group’s chat room. Please post your responses as new messages.

2. Take quiz #5.

Answer YOTKBN Review Questions #133-168 on pages 169-171. Do not email me your answers. I’ll check all Midterm Review Question answers during the Wednesday, April 7, class session. You may check your answers in the You Ought to Know by Now review section.

Study Break:
