There's Big Money in Public Speaking

Big money for teaching public speaking?! No, unfortunately, but there is big money for speaking in public. These are the approximate per speech fees charged by some well-known public speakers. So, break out your wallets and select the speaker of your choice. Remember, "If you pay them, they will come!"

  • $100,000--Margaret Thatcher (former Prime Minister).
  • $80,000--Mikhail Gorbachev (former leader of the Soviet Union).
  • $75,000+-- Stephen Covey (motivational speaker), Anthony Robbins (motivational speaker), Joe Montana (former quarterback) or George Forman (heavyweight boxing champion).
  • $50,000-75,000-Magic Johnson (former basketball player), Pat Riley (basketball coach), Dr. Laura Schlessinger (radio advice-giver).
  • $50,000--Colin Powell (retired U. S. Army General), George Bush (former President) or Henry Kissinger (former Secretary of State).
  • $35,000--Larry Bird (former basketball coach), Paul Harvey (radio commentator) or Larry King (television and radio commentator).
  • $30,001-50,000-Jimmy Johnson (former football coach), Rick Pitino (basketball coach) or Mike Wallace ("60 Minutes" reporter).
