Louder/Longer Exercise #2

Questions and Answers - Mary had a little lamb.

Let's try the same idea using the first sentence of a familiar nursery rhyme. Mary had a little lamb. This time I'll ask you a series of questions. The answer to every question is "Mary had a little lamb.", but you'll need to decide which word in the sentence needs to be said louder or longer to give your answer, "Mary had a little lamb." the correct meaning. I've written the words that need to be said louder or longer at the bottom of the page.

Q#1. What little animal did Mary have?
A#1 Mary had a little lamb.

Q#2. Who had a little lamb?
A#2 Mary had a little lamb.

Q#3. What size lamb did Mary have?
A#3 Mary had a little lamb.

Q#4. How many lambs did Mary have?
A#4 Mary had a little lamb.

Q#5. Has she still got the little lamb?
A#5 Mary had a little lamb.

Question #1 You should say "lamb" louder or longer.

Question #2 You should say "Mary" louder or longer.

Question #3 You should say "little" louder or longer.

Question #4 You should say "a" louder or longer.

Question #5 You should say "had" louder or longer.
