Announcements - April 14, 2004:

Hello, Everyone:

Welcome to week #12!

Remember, our 4th on-campus class session will be Wednesday, April 21st at 6:30 p.m. in 201C.

Week #12 is a fairly light week. You’ll be writing 6 impromptu speech topics and preparing and practicing your Personal Experience Speech. We’ll present the Impromptu Speech and the Personal Experience Speech in class on Wednesday, April 21st.

Use the Discussion Forum/SPEmail/Chat Rooms find a Debate opponent and reach agreement on your Debate topic. You’ll want to narrow your debate topic as much as possible. We’ll present the Debates during our last regularly scheduled class period on Wednesday, May 5th.

Before Sunday, April 18th, at 6:30 p.m.:

Our Group Discussion Project topic will be “How can the Morton College Speech 101 Internet Class be improved?” We’ll need to survey the class and ask their opinions. Visit the Discussion Forum and post two or three questions that should go on our survey. Don’t answer the questions or offer suggestions for improving the Speech 101 Internet Class. Just submit questions we’d need to ask the class to find out their opinions about the class’ strengths and weaknesses. I’ll post a copy of the Speech 101 Internet Class Survey by Monday morning April 19th. Complete the survey as quickly as you can after Monday morning. I’d like to be able to give you the survey results in class on Wednesday, April 21st.

As always, keep in touch. Let me know if you need anything.

Take care,
Steven
