Announcements - March 31, 2004:

Hello, Everyone:

Welcome to week #10.

Our third on-campus class meeting will be Wednesday, April 7th in 201C at 6:30 p.m. Please make every effort to come on time. Stragglers make presenting the speeches very difficult.

I’ll check the first 200 YOTKBN Review Questions and give credit to everyone who has completed them on April 7th.

Keep working on your Informative and Introduce Another Speaker Speeches. We’ll present both speeches on April 7th. Re-read the Informative Speech (pages 150 & 151) and Introduce Another Speaker (page 159) speech assignment sheets. You don't want to lose points because you didn't turn in a complete assignment. Practice working with your visual aid several times before you present your speech in class. Visual aids take some getting used to.

I’ll be posting your Test #1 scores in the WebCT grade book as I grade the tests. I’ll return your graded tests at the end of the April 7th class session.
This week’s new topics are inter-related; listening and human communication. We’ll study listening online using two additional resources links. We’ll read about communication in the textbook. Be sure you understand how the human communication process works and learn the definitions of the 12 highlighted communication terms.

As always, keep in touch. Let me know if you need anything. I’m never more than an email away.

Take care,
Steven
